I’m sure you’ve heard it before: the best way to improve your writing is to keep writing. Indeed, that’s the advice I have for you, but with a small addition. When you write, practice something intentional or try something new.
Try beginning every sentence with the word that ended the last one. Try telling a story using only dialogue. Try to write in overbearing detail. Try to meet an exact word count.
Of course, if all you have the energy to do is write like usual, then by all means that much alone is invaluable. But when you do have the energy, play with your writing. It’s a challenge for sure, but it can be really fun. Over time you’ll be able to see significant improvement.
